I had the opportunity to style and prepare a dessert spread for a sweet bridal shower brunch last Saturday. I created a few floral pieces for the table to be complemented with delightful treats, such as macarons, kettle corn, and rock candy. Although I didn’t meet the bride-to-be until the event, I already liked her due to the fact that we both love this quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupery – “Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction.” I wish her + her husband a lifetime of happiness and love!

Wake Up in Neverland

Inspired by the story of Peter Pan, I chose to lightly base the whimsical element from the movie into a wintery styled shoot. I also wanted to include a few simple and unique details that brides could incorporate into their wedding day, such as using marshmallows as escort card holders and including real cotton into the floral design for a surprising element. Esther Julee beautifully captured all the details of the shoot, including Brittany wearing the stunning Lazaro wedding gown from Fabulous Frocks of Atlanta and jewelry from Fine & Fleurie. I am especially thankful for the delightful and delicious desserts by Sugarloft, and the gorgeous paper goods from Maureen Koo.

Wedding: Kahi + Raymond

When I look back on this day, my heart swells from the amount of love I witnessed. Not only between Kahi + Raymond, but also between their family, friends, and other loved ones. At first glance, you might notice what a beautiful couple Kahi + Raymond are. Spend a few minutes with them, and you’ll quickly pick up on their equally beautiful hearts. I still can’t believe I had the privilege of being such a big part of their special day, but I am so honored they asked! I will forever remember this as the first wedding I styled on my own, and also as a beautiful day full of love and joy.
